My mission is to provide quality psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, and adolescents in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
My background includes interning, volunteering, and employment at the YWCA of Greater Portland. I provided psychotherapy services to a wide variety of people facing a range of issues including: dual diagnosis, addiction, depression, anxiety, self-harm, gender identity issues, religious persecution, couples work, grief and parenting issues. The support of colleagues and outstanding supervision gave me a solid foundation as a psychotherapist.
Additionally, I have facilitated psycho-educational groups within women's circles, teen mothers support, and mother-daughter enrichment circles.
I participate in ongoing consultation. I recognize in order to best meet the needs of my clients I must be grounded in a supportive, educational, and nourishing environment myself.
I hold a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, Carpinteria, California. You can also find me on the Psychology Today website.
I have been in private practice since 2004 where I work with individuals, couples and adolesents.
